Log homes made of glued timber are characterized by: |
short terms for erection of the house on the "turn-key" basis - requires no prolonged settlement of the house;
thermal-conductivity coefficient of the wooden wall is lower than that of a brick wall of the same thickness by 4.5 times;
glued elements allow to increase the ceiling area, while rectangular cross-section of the beam makes easier work of architect-designer;
owing to top grade precision of manufacture and the resulting absolutely tight joints between the house elements the houses are not draughty, do not get frost-bound and permit no penetration of moisture. Grooves and feather pieces along the beam's length secure the beam rigidly in the wall in between the under- and overlying beams;
combination of environment friendly properties with strength and durability. Natural wood ability is preserved to maintain oxygen balance and optimal humidity in the house;
high aesthetic properties: prior to gluing damaged sections are removed from the beam and the blanks are selected by colour and texture. That is why such products require no additional treatment;
inexpensive and non-toxic antiseptics (against rot and fungi) and fire resistant (fire-retardant) solutions became available;
absence of shrinkage permits to install modern stained-glass windows and windows of any dimensions;
glued timber , owing to top quality face finish, are ready for use facade material.
